Trenton's Friend Party, Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Christmas Decorating!

We had a great week together surrounded by friends and family. As you know Trenton's birthday is the 28th so we let him take a few friends to dinner and the hockey game. He chose to go to his favorite "OLIVE GARDEN" for dinner and then to the game. The boys had a blast and it was fun to see Trenton have the time of his life. Crew also enjoyed being with his big brother and all of his friends. We woke up on Thanksgiving and relaxed for awhile and then headed over to Brent's parents before we went to my parents for the big feast. It was very yummy and we ate our hearts out. I just love this time of year! The boys had the best time with their cousins drinking chocolate malts, eating pie in the hot tub and wrestling whenever possible. I don't look forward to training my children how to obey and not be so wild, but it is all worth it. Friday morning came way to early with Missy picking me up at 3:40am to make it to our annual Black Friday shopping. We got lots of fun stuff and can't wait until Christmas morning. This year will be a little different because we are going to Disneyland that day but it will be a time never forgotten. Today we started the Christmas decorating. The boys are so funny this year, they are all into it. Wanting to help with everything. So fun. I love my family and look forward to making lots more memories.

Another busy Week!

The fun has just begun! This week Trenton only had 3 days of school and he has no school next week, so they celebrated his birthday alittle early. It was really cute how his teacher magically celebrates each childs birthday. As you can see they use a fruit of their choice to hold their candle and they can have spankings or hugs. Of course Trenton chose spankings.....he must not get enough at home. :) He also had his Thanksgiving feast, which consisted of butter, popcorn and fresh squeezed orange juice. His class was in charge of making the butter, so he shook a jar of milk until it turned into butter. How COOL! Crew had his Stone Soup family day at school on Thursday. Since Trenton was out of school he was also able to join us. It was so cute and very yummy! Friday we had Trenton's family birthday. He wanted fettuccine so we had our own little Olive Garden dinner right here at home. It was so YUMMY! He enjoyed playing the wii that his Grandpa Bob brought over to share with us and he loved playing his new DS games with his cousin Tyler. He got many fun gifts and it was really AWESOME! On Saturday we went on a drive like we do alot and Brent needed to bid a job in Kennewick so we were just driving by this pet store and Brent decided we should go in and show the kids some animals, since they love them so much but will never have one. So we were looking at all these smelly animals and we came upon these cute little tiny Tortoises and we fell in love. We thought..... we have just the place for them in our unused saltwater tank. We headed home to clean it out and bring back all our stuff to trade for our two new cute additions. "Crush" & "Squirt" are 6 months old and Cindy Plankton said they will live to be "150" years old. We hope they are around for awhile we love them. As Thanksgiving draws near, I wanted to share some of the things I am thankful for.......
1. I am so thankful for all of my family, I love them so much.
2. I am so thankful to belong to the true Church of Jesus Christ
3. I am so thankful to have a hard working husband
4. I am thankful for my home and all the things that help me to live a happy life.
5. I am thankful for my health
6. I am thankful for my friends
7. I am so thankful for the Missionaries who taught Brent the gospel
8. I am thankful for the temple and my eternal family
9. I am thankful for the teachers who teach me and my children

We are so THANKFUL!

We are all so thankful for good GRANDPARENTS. Both Brent and I have our parents close by. Our boys have a special bond with each one. They love to do so many different things with each of them. This past week the boys and I went over to my parents to make sugar cookies to freeze and then we will decorate them at Trenton's birthday party next week. It is always such a fun experience to make things with Nana. She is such a good cook and loves to share that talent with her kids and grandkids. My boys especially love to cook with her and at her house......its just not the same at our house! Thanks Nana for being the best Nana in the whole wide world!

Birthday, Voting and much much more

This week started with a birthday for Brent's Grandma. She is such a fun, hard working and amazing woman. We are thankful our boys get to enjoy her also. On Tuesday we of course voted and then bit our fingernails until the long awaited race was over. Sad ending for us but hopefully something good will come out of it. I really don't think so but I am trying to be positive. We got to give Trenton a little lesson on politics/government. It was so funny......At school that day his teacher asked them to vote on who they thought would win. Of course with Trenton being so competitive he decided to vote for the one everybody else was so that they would win. When we talked that night about it he said, "Mom oh no I voted for Obama". I said "well that isn't who we voted for, Mommy and Daddy are Republican not Democrat". And one thing led to another and he wanted to know everything about it. So we had a little lesson and by the end he said, "Mom I am going to go to school tomorrow and tell Miss Lipp that I want to change my vote". I said "Ok that would be fine". So I work in Trenton's class on Wednesday mornings and right when I got there he raised his hand and said, "I need to change my vote to McCain, I am Republican". That was a proud Mommy moment for me. I am grateful to have such a awesome son. He also did his first Accelerated Reading test and got a special award from the Principal on Friday. He is reading at a 2nd grade level and we are just so proud! Trenton was also given a leaf project last week, he had to collect the leaves, dry them, press them and then make some kind of an animal to fit on the orange paper his teacher gave him. So Brent and Trenton started the project and Mommy and Trenton finished it. I think it turned out cute. On Friday I had the opportunity to go on our yearly girls getaway with my family. We leave very early and then shop till we drop then sleep a little then back to shopping. We ate lots of good food and had a great time visiting. I think the best part is I was with two of my very best friends, my Mother and my sweet sister. I love them dearly. I am thankful my other best friend stayed home and cared for our little boys. They had a great time playing around together and going to the new Madagascar Movie. I am a little surprised they survived with Brent's cooking. It looked a little scary to me. I don't know to many people who put string cheese on Meat loaf but I am sure it was fine. Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful time of year and getting geared up for all the craziness that is coming.

On our way over to Seattle we got to see lots of these as we passed them on the highway coming from their training headquarters near Yakima. Very cool to see I think I even teared up. They stood out there in the freezing cold rainy weather. I am thankful for their service!

This is Brent's home cooking. I am glad that I do most of that.

We had a SPOOKTACULAR week!

Ok so I have to tell you these pictures are all out of order from how it really happened this past week. As you can see we had a fun and busy Halloween week. The boys had dentist appointments thankfully before Halloween and both had no cavities. It was Crew's first time at the dentist so he was a little nervous but did really well. Both boys had Halloween extravaganza's at school, Crew's on Thursday and Trenton's on Friday. Isn't Crew's teacher so cute. I think she should try out for Snow White @ Disneyland. He had a great time. Trenton got to do lots of hands on science, he also made a black & orange bracelet and decorated a yummy cookie. After school we went and visited both grandparents and Nana spoiled us rotten. She's the best! At Bob and Trish's we gathered many different kinds of leaves for a homework assignment for this next week. The boys enjoyed their time there! That night we had Trunk or Treat at the Church and then we rushed the boys to the hockey game with their Papa. They just really love their Papa and think it's pretty neat to go with him. He's also the BEST! Several of the pics this week were taken on my cell phone so the quality isn't as good but I did get a good shot of Trenton and his look alike Hockey buddy #44 Taylor Procyshen of the Tri-City American's. They are two cute Red heads! The boys were so pooped one night this week that we found them asleep together. I just love to see them like this. So precious. On Saturday our friends Steve and Ang brought their adorable son over to show us his costume and let the boys see him. They just LOVE Gavin and got a kick out of him. Well hope your Halloween was as fun as ours and I look forward to the candy being gone!
